We are primarily from the "Cardamom City of India" - Bodinayakanur located in Theni District, Tamilnadu.
In 1975 we started cardamom cultivation at Kajanapara (farm location near Bodinayakanur), with half-an acre and now we have expanded more than 10 acres. During our initial stages we used to outsource cardamom processing, later on we started our in-house processing unit to achieve quality outcome based product and also to reduce processing cost.
For about three decades, the processed cardamom was being sold by us in local markets and cardamom auction only. In our 30+ years experience of bulk sales, we envisioned a huge price fissure between the cultivator and consumer. The higher grade cardamoms are more often exported to other countries and its availability is less with high price in India.
Generally the small and medium cultivators do bulk sales of their product in the local market. They are not ready to enter into retail business because of the huge investment potential involved for establishing the infrastructure like shops, marketing etc. Another medium to enter into retail business is to sell products online.
Our Business Moto is to cultivate good quality cardamom or directly procure form farmers and sell directly to consumers.
